Launch a program group with a single keystroke. ActiveLaunch gives you the ability to open frequently used applications, documents, and folders from the keyboard, without having to memorize a multitude of hot keys. ActiveLaunch main window looks similar to a simple folder window with icons. Keyboard shortcuts are listed along with each icon for at-a-glance access. To launch a program you only need to call up the main ActiveLaunch window by pressing the hot key, and then pressing the keyboard shortcut associated with that program without any keyboard modifiers. Alt + Backspace is the default hot-key combination, but you can change it. You may use sections as regular folders to divide your icons into categories. Besides, sections may be used to run a group of programs, documents, and folders. Just call up ActiveLaunch and press the corresponding key, while holding the CTRL key. Also a hot key can be used to launch several applications directly without ActiveLaunch window in view.

In Version 2.1, the "File/Add Program" menu command allows you to quickly add a program from the Programs menu.
