From DeskShare :Active Web Reader is a free Web-feed reader (aggregator). It supports RSS feed formats 0.9, 1, and 2. The live-update feature keeps you current on technology advancements. Active Web Reader's intuitive tab-based interface makes it easy to view and read your feeds; it's as if you are reading off a Web browser with easy navigation. You also can select from a number of styles to display the feeds and make reading them a pleasure. Feeds are organized into groups. Update them at the click of a button from your desktop. Links to a few select and interesting Web feeds come bundled with Active Web Reader.
Version 2.12 features an improved user interface and an updated help document.

Summary: It's got a lot of folders and feeds that you can not remove, ánd it's only possible to update once an hour, not faster.
So not for me, as I want to be REALLY informed -

Summary: The speed with which it downloads RSS feeds is really amazing. The things which I liked most are the styles of feeds and way it highlights changes in web pages.It is really a nice RSS Reader. But user interface is not that much elegant.

Summary: This program hung my machine, and crashed, all within 10 minutes of trying to use it. It also contains and displays feeds and web pages that the program won't let you remove, so it's almost ad-ware.
