From Acoustica :Mixcraft Recording Studio is multitrack audio software with effects including reverb, delay, EQ, compressor, flanger, and chorus, as well as resonant filters and a powerful loop editor. The high-performance, 32-bit sound engine supports broadcast-quality WAV files and will even import compressed MP3, OGG, and WMA files. Use it to record your own music, your band, or even a remix for a dance recital. The amazing fact about home recording today is that you really only need a computer and good multitrack-recording software to create great sound. When you've finished your mix, publish it to the Internet as an MP3, OGG, WMA, or RealAudio file, or render it to burn it with a CD burner.
Version 1.1 build 15 adds support for the OGG format.

"Very, very, very GOOD PRODUCT!"
Pros: This program makes it very, very easy to record over and add recordings to something you've already done. It plays what you've done along with your recording so you hear what you need to. Then adding it is simply a click away! The volume control for each track is really helpful, as well. Another great thing is just the overall simplicity of the whole recording process. One of the things, however, that pulls all of it together is the MANY NUMBER OF EFFECTS! There are so many effects to choose from and add to anything: vocals, bass, guitar, drums, you name it. There's a great number of effects for reverb, chorus, delay, flanger, EQ, and (one of the most helpful) compressor. This product is easy to use and worth the trial.
Cons: There are a FEW minor bad things about this program: One is, depending really on the equipment you use, I wouldn't recommend recording a band doing everything live. The sound seems to come out better if everything's done separately. It may take longer, but it's worth it. Another thing is the TRIAL of the program only lasts 7 days, which is typical, but still unfortunate. However, for only $40, how can you really argue? Another thing is I couldn't figure out how to convert the files saved so that they can be put onto burned CD's...you might be able to if you convert them to MP3 files, but I'm not 100% sure.
These are just minor setbacks, the product is GREAT nonetheless.

Summary: Have downloaded several multitrack programs recently but really like this one, so after 2 days trial have bought it. It is simple to use and hasn't created any conflicts with my computer.
