This online-privacy tool eliminates system traces and even pop-up ads. AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Pro lets you hide all browser windows at once with a boss key. It also deletes all tracks from cached Web files, the visited-files history, cookies, typed URLs, index.dat files, saved passwords and usernames, the temporary-files folder, the Recycle Bin, and recently opened documents. Plug-ins eliminate lists of recently used files and playlists created by popular applications such as Kazaa Media Desktop and Windows Media Player. We particularly liked the Profiles feature, which lets you define what to erase and when. The program can automatically delete files on the next Windows start-up if they are currently in use. You can securely erase files so no one can restore them, although the feature could be easier to use. The built-in pop-up blocker works well; its sensitivity adjusts from blocking only invisible pop-ups to killing all new Internet Explorer windows. AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Pro is a good browser companion for surfing in insecure conditions, such as at work.Publisher's description

Version: AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Pro 3.43
Cons: The program is too "powerful" to clean everything, even my useful files. I tried it and it deletes nearly everything on my computer. All my word documents are lost. Furthermore, I get all kinds of problems to use other programs after using it, my mediaplayer now complains cannot find files, my Excel doesn't work any more. It's really a nightmare to download it.

"It cleans the system as promised"
Pros: This tool has the job done as it claims. It cleans my XP system and free up over 1G disk space. Very good.
