This online-privacy tool eliminates system traces and even pop-up ads. AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Pro lets you hide all browser windows at once with a boss key. It also deletes all tracks from cached Web files, the visited-files history, cookies, typed URLs, index.dat files, saved passwords and usernames, the temporary-files folder, the Recycle Bin, and recently opened documents.Plug-ins eliminate lists of recently used files and playlists created by popular applications such as Kazaa Media Desktop and Windows Media Player. We particularly liked the Profiles feature, which lets you define what to erase and when. The program can automatically delete files on the next Windows start-up if they are currently in use. You can securely erase files so no one can restore them, although the feature could be easier to use.
The built-in pop-up blocker works well; its sensitivity adjusts from blocking only invisible pop-ups to killing all new Internet Explorer windows. AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Pro is a good browser companion for surfing in insecure conditions, such as at work.
Publisher's description
From SysShield Consulting :Every time you browse the Internet, your own computer records your activities with programs such as Internet Explorer, AOL, and Netscape. If you're a businessperson who doesn't want colleagues to know what Web sites you've visited, a student who doesn't want others to know which Internet files you've opened, or a home user who wants to keep your history of files, videos, and music private, Absolute Shield Internet Eraser Pro provides the tools you need. It cleans the browser history, cache, cookies, typed URLs, auto complete list, saved passwords, and index.dat files. In addition to the traces in your browser, it cleans tracks in Windows and has an integrated and intelligent blocker for ad windows and pop-ups. This tool supports Internet Explorer, MSN, Netscape, Mozilla, FireFox, AOL, and Opera.

Pros: THERE ARE NO PROS TO THIS SOFTWARE. THE ONLY PRO IS NOT DOWNLOADING THIS SOFTWARE. CNET HAS GONE TO THE DARK SIDE. THEY ARE NOW CON MEN. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH WHAT, I HAVE FOUND HERE. CNET SHOULD ISSUE AN APOLOGY FOR THEIR ROLE IN THIS SOFTWARE!!!
Cons: CNET NOW HAS THIEVES IN CHARGE OF DOWNLOAD.COM . THIS IS A SAD DAY!!! THERE WAS A DAY WHEN YOU COULD TRUST DOWNLOAD.COM, BUT NOT ANYMORE. BEWARE CNET HAS GONE TO THE DOGS. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS SOFTWARE FOR ANY REASON!!!
