This cleanup tool proves to be an effective choice, though it might not be ideal for multitaskers. Abexo Registry Cleaner's intuitive interface is simple to understand, offering you choices for Registry backup, scanning, and defragmenting. The undo tool provides another layer of protection if a cleaning session results in undesirable performance issues. If you want to scan your Registry for errors, the application will search for such problems as invalid file associations, shared DLLs, and useless fonts. It's nice the application provides information as to why a certain Registry key should be removed. However, when trying to delete a long list of errors while we performed other routine tasks such as opening an e-mail, the program crashed several times, though it ultimately removed all the errors after a few runs. Some users may also find the five-day trial period insufficient to gauge whether the program is worth buying. Abexo Registry Cleaner will prove useful to anyone who downloads a lot of programs, provided they don't need to do anything else during a cleaning session.Publisher's description

Version: Abexo Registry Cleaner 5.3.1
"Think Vantage & Symantec warning!"
Pros: For me, Abexo holds the number 1 position as free registry cleanup! They non-free version (valid for 5-days) really cleanse-up your system. Do not download the free-version, but the full-blown (full version valid for 5 days). Hey, you do not need registry clean-up every day.
Cons: WARNING! If you are running on a IBM Think Vantage system or using Symantec software, the software gets to ambitious and deletes valid entries for these products, which results in "Think Vantage Access Connections" and "Symantic/Northon" firewall to crash, with an enevetable dead-end. You simply cannot turn the firewall on again!
It just happened to me, so I needed to download AVG.

"locks up won't delete errors"
Pros: nice display.
Cons: locks up after it finds errors. won't delete errors. Tried to do single clean up as recommended but still did not work.

"This is a SOLID (and FREE) registry cleaner."
Pros: 1. The trial version is really free. 2. It's easy to use. 3. It cleans the registry.
4. Has 'backup registry' option.Cons: 1. Sometimes it doesn't fix all registry issues. 2. A few old issues may come back after cleaning process. 3. Fairly basic cleaner with a simple design.
Summary: Abexo Registry Cleaner 5.3 may not wow the tech savvy, but it works just fine for those who really need to clean out their computers. It's a solid registry cleaner that may not fix all errors, but it does it's job by maintaining the computer's perf... read more >>
