This competent hard drive defragmentation utility is clearly written for the intermediate to expert user.
Abexo Defragmenter Pro's simple interface is divided into two parts. The first is a simple function and configuration menu, and the second is a hard-drive map and progress indicator. The tool includes a basic Autorun function that follows the default options. Manual use of the program is primarily operated using the second part of the interface. Experienced users will have no trouble using this application, but without a user manual and a limited Help file, novice users will struggle with this one.
That said, this application is pretty straightforward. You choose a drive or drives, easily set a few options and choose Autorun. While it isn't the fastest defrag tool we've seen, our testers found it acceptable. An analysis tool quickly builds a drive map showing fragmentation by sight and percentage. The options offer a couple of helpful choices for removing the Pagefile and Hibernation File to speed defragging. The optimization options include simply set choices to move directories to the top of the drive, move files out of the Master File Table, create free space near the top and consolidate files and free spaces. Even at its least intensive operation, this tool decreased fragmentation.
The demo's mere five day limitation doesn't give users the opportunity to see this program's operation over time. However, most experienced users will quickly decide if the simple interface and function set is worth adding to their tool box.

Version: Abexo Defragmenter Pro 5
"You don't understand Max, they don't have to hide it ..."
Pros: You don't understand Max, they don't have to "hide" it, the Abexo Defragmenter makes MS DEFRAG work. That's the idea! And the product worked fine for me. In fact, it defraged the drive well enough for me to start using Norton's Speed disk again after it was apparently fragmented beyond use. In fact it defraged the drive well enough for me to start using my Norton's Speed disk again after it stopped performing.
Cons: (3) My only complaint is this product should be included as part of the Windows Operating System (especially for users like myself still operating under Windows 98 SE) especially because fragmentation is the Achilles heel of the entire Windows Operating System. Once I find where this company is, I'm going to compliment them and ask them to send me their "All Product Bundled" Offer. And no I don't work for them.

"They don't even try to hide using MS Defrag"
Pros: No pros here
Cons: It doesn't work right and is a big diapointment spending $50 bucks to see MS Defrag come up.
Once I find where this company is I'm reporting them to whoever I need to for theft. Just thought all should know.
