  Version: AVI/MPEG/ASF/WMV Splitter 3.24

  "if you know what your doing this program works"

  Pros: I tested this out splitting all supported formats and all worked. Both video and audio were correct and the original file is not deleated without your consent. I also split a 400mb ASF file into 4 parts (perfect) then joined them back with Boilsoft's joiner and the differences from the original were non existant.

  Cons: Nohting that I can think off.

  "Very unreliable"

  Pros: Didn't find any, but can't submit a review unless this box is filled

  Cons: constantly crashes with WMV files

  "Simple to use; Audio sync problems"

  Pros: Although a slightly clumsy interface, it's quite easy to use. The included help is terse, but functional, and helpfully tells you where to go to get certain codecs, should you need them.

  It's fast.

  Cons: The audio goes out of sync with the video on divx-encoded AVI files (when it was fully in sync in the source). This makes the product useless for me.

  "quick, but not good enough to buy"

  Pros: Quick, can split large files.

  Cons: After the splitting proces, sound and image were not in line. (you see someone speak and after 2 seconds you here what he had to say) I think with small files, you woudn't see, but with larger files (over 300 mb) it doesn't do any good.

  "Doesn't Handle Most WMV Files"

  Pros: Intuitive and easy to use.

  Cons: Of about 50 WMV files on my hard drive, the application could handle only two very small WMV's. The others generated an error message: "Could not load" with no explanation or assistance. No help topics available.

  This application would be great...if it worked.
