This release for all Radeon family products updates the AMD display driver to the latest version. This unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability.

Catalyst 9.6 brings performance benefits in several cases where frame rates are CPU-limited. Some measured examples are such games as Company of Heroes, Crysis, Crysis Warhead and World in Conflict. The release resolves numerous issues under different Windows operating systems. This driver release also incorporates suggestions received through the Catalyst CREW Driver Feedback program.
