This release for all Radeon family products updates the AMD display driver to the latest version. This unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability.

This release of ATI Catalyst provides OpenGL 3.1 extension support. The OpenGL 3.1 features and extensions added in Catalyst 9.8 include: Shading Language 1.30 and 1.40. Data copying between buffer objects. Instanced rendering with a per-instance counter accessible to vertex shaders.
