From ESTsoft :This free media player plays DVD, VOB, IFO, AVI and over 30 media formats. Player also supports FLV files like Youtube video downloads through its online codec center. The codec center helps to automatically download missing codecs. For sharing favorite scenes with friends and family this media player supports audio and video capturing to create small audio and video clips. Taking movie screen shots for still pictures is also supported. Clips can later be imported into a video editor to quickly create video mashups and montages. The player also supports variable playback speeds to slow down and speed up movies for difficult training videos or learning a new language. A-B loop points can be set to repeat video segments. The clean interface is designed for maximum ease-of-use and supports skins. Multilingual with several languages and subtitle support. Free support is available in the ALTools web site forums. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: ALShow 1.62
Pros: Easy simple video player that has most of the functions one would expect . It play
well with good sound and pictures. No Add's is a big plus and no tricks about being free.
Cons: There's nothing not to like as far I can tell.

Pros: the player plays almost any file and thts great.
Cons: it seems the player has some problems opening some video/media files from external HDD, even though the files were the same if it is on the desktop, for example- .mkv files of a particular show/episode on desktop, it will play it but if it was on the internal HDD some of the .mkv files are abled to play on the player but some doesn't, same for some .mp4 files

"Good in looks average in performance..!!"
Pros: Good looking and user friendly interface. It has all the features like other players. Shortcut keys are also useful.
Cons: It is not able to play mp4 format and also there is no codec available for download. And also the .flv files we have to struggle a bit to download the codec.
Summary: All in all the player promises to give you all the features available in other players. But the video quality is less comparitively. If you are looking for a good looking player but not a player which can play all the files (Like GOM) go for this.
