This program helps teach children the basics of the English language, although its small word database may leave some parents wanting more. The application's main window features a keyboard, a word list, and a picture window. The word list contains four terms that begin with a certain letter; clicking a word brings up its corresponding picture in the other pane. ABC 4 Kids Workshop's speech engine pronounces each word, although the voice sounds rather mechanical and unrealistic. The program can give your child a spelling test, but that's the only real feature it has to offer. We also didn't find the app's library of words very comprehensive, as there are only four terms per letter. As a result, the utility only serves as a basic learning tool for younger children.Publisher's description
