This freebie effectively monitors and gives real-time memory-usage statistics, but offers no other useful features. A Really Small App presents a standard floating message bar on your desktop that displays the amount of CPU usage and free memory in real-time mode. It was nice to see our PC's uptime, number of currently running processes, number of start-up items, active connections, and Internet Protocol (IP) address. A Really Small App can be docked handily on the system tray, where the icon will display a summary of computer-usage data. We like that it can be configured to begin counting automatically at start-up and allow users to copy data to the clipboard. However, the limited features also limit this tool's appeal. Including a memory optimizer might bring some further purpose. Though this program is easy enough for novices to use, its rather small feature set keeps it from really thrilling us. In the end, users requiring nothing more than a memory usage monitor might find this freeware program worth a download.Publisher's description
From AnswersThatWork :A fun and free Really Small App showing running tasks, current startups, and CPU & memory utilization graphs. A Really Small App also tells you if remote computers are connected to your PC. If you are part of a network and you share printers and files on your PC, then that figure may justifiably be higher than zero. Same story if other computers have been configured to connect to your PC via PCAnywhere, WinVNC, Remote Desktop, or similar. In most other cases, however, a figure higher than zero is something you need to be worried about as it is highly likely to indicate the presence of Trojan viruses, spyware, or adware.
Can be minimized to the system tray where it also enables you to change your default printer directly from the system tray. Finally, hovering the mouse over the system tray icon for the app gives you an abbreviated summary of the stats it is tracking for you. Version 2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: A Really Small App 2
Pros: Nothing outweighs the cons
Cons: I've come home and found my PC locked and msgs of "out of memory". Task manager has A Really Small App using 500 megabytes of memory! I'm uninstalling this program and never using it again.

"Tries to install other software!!!"
Pros: Didn't get that far to find out if the program is actually any good.
Cons: After first clicking on the install icon; Windows Defender picked up on it trying to install "Hot Bar", whatever that may be.
