Version: A.F.5 Rename your files 1.1
"Very Good, Free, Not The Best"
Pros: Does everything I you for renaming files: prefix/suffix, replace, 01-99, etc.
Does large batches quickly. Can Undo.
Cons: Too complicated. There are other renamers that are much easier and more straightforward. I actually had to read the help file for this one.
Try CKrename first (works very very well, much easier, integrated into windows, but for some odd reason it stopped working for my computer, but works for just about everyone else). Try 1-4a Renamer (I don't think this one is on CNET).

Version: A.F.5 Rename your files 1.1
Pros: I never really gave this program a fair trial. The initial screen that came up was so confusing I didn't even know where to start.
Another reviewer had recommended CKRename and I tried that as well. This program is very clear and easy to use - and is also freeware.

Pros: Files can be renamed from a list of names in an imported file.
Cons: Lacks some flexibility in renaming, but adequate for most situations.

Version: A.F.5 Rename your files 1.1
Pros: Smooth install/uninstall.
Use less than 1MB for install.
About 3.5k of mem usage.
Free.
Does the job wonderfully with more features than I could have asked for.
Cons: I seriously can't think of any.

Version: A.F.5 Rename your files 1.1
Pros: probably works, but I gave up trying to figure out how to use it
Cons: difficult interface + obscure "help" = user-unfriendly; ARen is the better choice
