Publisher's description
From Amabilis Software :3D Canvas is a real-time, 3D-modeling and -animation tool that incorporates a drag-and-drop approach. Complex models can be constructed from simple 3D primitives or created using 3D Canvas's object-building tools. Creating an animated scene is as simple as positioning the objects within your scene for each point in time in your animation. 3D Canvas will ensure the resulting animation runs smoothly.
Version 6.5.0.7 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: 3D Canvas 6.5.0.7
Pros: Nice software, can do almost anything.
You can quickly draw most basic objects.
Cons: The odd menu arangment makes it take a lot of figureing out.
The textures don't lool so hot. This is definitly not CAD
software, but art software instead. There is no tool to mesure distances (that I have found, anyway), no line intersecting, no angle specifing, ETC.
Also, the undo is painfuly slow and the whole program crashes alot.

Version: 3D Canvas 6.5.0.7
"Easy for beginners but plenty of power for the more experienced modeler"
Pros: When you are looking for 3D modeling/animation software you have to decide what features you want and then look to see how much you might have to pay. 3D Canvas really has a good range of powerful modeling features. I have looked at several of the other free or cheap programs but I always come back to 3D Canvas because it does everything I want. If you want to get into modeing/animation you should consider the 'pro' version of this program. Such features as booleans, particles and a wide range of mesh manipulation tools are available. There is also a very friendly and helpful users forum. Perhaps most important for new users 3DC is very easy to learn with a simple interface and all tools easily to hand.
Cons: Us 3D Canvas users are excitedly waiting for version 7 of the program. If I had to criticise 3DC I would have to say that it does start to slow down a lot when you are creating comlex scenes. The program author (always ready to answer questions) is promising that among a host of new features the program will be considerably speeded up.
