Publisher's Description
From Agile Web Solutions:
1Password is a Password Manager that uniquely brings you both Security and Convenience. It is the only program that provides Anti-Phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding Web Form Filling and Automatic Strong Password Generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept in one secure place provided by Apple's OS X Keychain.
1Password browser extensions support Safari, Camino, Firefox, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, NetNewsWire, Netscape Navigator, and Flock. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again!
1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.
If you purchase today you will also receive a cool new Sync to iPhone feature for FREE.

"A bit clunky"
Version: 1Password 3.8.19
Pros
Keeps all of your password information as well as credit cards and software serial numbers.
Cons
The search bar does not work well when trying to search through all of your saved passwords. You will often have to log in twice, once off the the launch pad and then again off the tool bar. You should be able to consistently click on your saved password and it should go to the webpage and auto fill...it usually does not. Autofill is not reliable.
Summary
Overall this is as good as it gets for Mac... unfortunately. I'm still straddling between PC and Mac until I replace my final machine at which point I'll be all Mac. On my PC I've used Roboform for years and love it. The only option there is to save your passwords to the cloud and I'm not quite ready to do that yet. 1Password will work, just a bit clunky. I think if a little more effort were placed in the UI it would be smoother to use. It certainly looks prettier than Roboform but I would prefer it to autofill every time, one click should go to the website, fill in the username and password and open and only have one access point...either on the launch pad or on the tool bar but not both. Mac users deserve better.

"an app you must have"
Version: 1Password 3.8.19
Pros
Easy to use. especially the key generator to make a password which is safe. you can use the app on different macs, iphone, ipad and ipod touch. The same passwords on different browsers and macs. Remember you must use Dropbox to use 1Password on different Mac's or PC's.
Cons
The price. When you have only 1 windows PC it is certainly too expensive. But when you have more PC's or more Mac's and several portable devices as iPad , iPhone and iPod Touch it is worth.

"Good but not as good as LastPass"
Version: 1Password 3.8.19
Pros
This a good program but when I switched over to lastpass I was much more impressed. I recommend you check out lastpass as well and see for yourself which one you like better.
Cons

"Simplifies your online experience"
Version: 1Password 3.8.19
Pros
A very easy to use, useful program, which has simplified saving of the hundreds of passwords I have. Also has a convenient add-on for most browsers, which recognizes a previously used website and auto fills the password with one click. Contains a simple search feature to quickly find your password or website. Easy to use credit card and personal data entry for websites.
Cons
Add-on in Safari opens a new window each time you select a new webpage. Cumbersome to update passwords.
-
"Annoying, cumbersome and poorly documented"
Version: 1Password 3.8.18
Pros
I can't think of anything I like about this program. A pretty icon, maybe?
Cons
I don't know why this program has so many fans. I found it annoying to use, with popups at the wrong time--and it's usually quicker to type in the password myself than let it autofill. I bought it so I'd have strong passwords systemwide on my iPad and iPhone, but functionality there is limited and it's pretty much worthless. If you have trouble logging in, for some reason, you're screwed--those strong passwords will make sure you can't type it in yourself. What else. . .if you change your master password you have to change it in each browser--and that's glitchy. Same with the iPad/iPhone--no matter how you try to sync it, you have to change each password manually.
Summary
This is probably a swell program if you take classes in it and spend all day using it. For most of us, though, it wastes time and annoys. I'd advise you go elsewhere.

"Love my 1Password!"
Version: 1Password 3.8.18
Pros
Ease of use, save all passwords so I won't forget them, I can use much more complex passwords, syncs with my iPad and iPhone. I can even save wallet info. and important info. that I don't want to lose and might need if I were to lose my wallet when traveling!
Cons
Not much in the way of cons. Once you figure it out, it's pretty simple, but I can see if you're not computer savvy, that it might take a little while to find your way around the app...
Summary
I've bought 1Password for several people - I don't want people to go without it!

"Latest version is a giant step backwards"
Version: 1Password 3.8.17
Pros
None - I bought both PC and Mac versions and it was fine in prior versions - this latest version is useless to me.
Cons
More intrusive, no cancel button on the pop up (have to press escape to dismiss), worst, it no longer appears in my bank secure window, and the right click method doesn't work. Look elsewhere!
Summary
It WAS great, but this latest version is useless for me and I want my money back. I recommend going to a freebie, like Password Safe - simple because it's not integrated into the browser, but it works now as well as it did when I installed it years ago.

"AVOID AVOID AVOID"
Version: 1Password 3.8.17
Pros
When it works it is fantastic--which is not all that often. I can't tell you how much I loved it when I first got it. It worked great on my Mac computers.
Cons
They cannot keep up with the updates and new versions. Something which seems simple has gotten too cumbersome for the vendor to manage. Every update in either browser or application will screw everything up. It never worked well on the iPad or iPhone. I had to cut and paste passwords to make those work. A cheap encrypted password folder do that, and while not elegant, at least will be reliable. If you want a new headache everytime they try to improve this software--if you want to be a beta tester and report problems, you will be screwed. I also was recently forced to update to a beta version because the previous version did not work at all. The company responds to help request fairly quickly, but honestly, who has time to talk to these people so frequently? I want something that works without headaches. THIS IS NOT IT!
Summary
I am so sorry I wasted my money on this application for both my Mac computers and my iPhone and iPad.

"Simply the best!"
Version: 1Password 3.8.17
Pros
Stores Passwords for quick entry.
Stores software information, Keys, ID'd etc
Keeps a lot of data organized.
Secure notes
Full information on identities.
Much,much more!Cons
Have found none yet with my use in 2 years.
Summary
I have been using 1Password for 2 years now and have loved it from the beginning. Agaile keeps it updated in a timely fashion as well.
Every time Apple updates OS X I worry about will 1password be there when Apple updates. In two years have not had to worry. 1Password has kept up with all the updates from Apple and it just keeps functioning flawlessly.
Thank you Agile.
