• I have used Zan Image for years now

  Pros

  Does everything the program is suppose to do. The amount of file types you can print/convert files to. You can have multiple setups of zan image printers for whatever filetypes you want on one computer. (informatic tif image wants to charge you over 100 bucks for each setup you have on one computer, plus it's buggy) And finally the low cost of the program (only cost me 50 bucks at the time I bought it, but that was a long time ago lol), and the ability to pay just a little extra for a cd backup of the program with your activation code (incase your computer dies and you have to re-install everything from scratch - sooner or later it happens)

  Just my opinion, but it seems the best program for printing to Multipage Tiff files, as well as the other file types supported. I primarily use it for multi page tiffs, for the low cost compared to what other programs charge, and the quality of the program, I think it's worth it.

• Only program that provides true to original text extraction

  Pros

  In addition to conversion to images this program has a very powerful and CORRECT text print driver.. You can turn off the image conversion (large uneeded files) and just get text extraction.. I have tried all the ones available (including PDF writers and rippers) as well as some very pricey ($150) dedicated text drivers and they all do not do as advertised...Some (many of them listed on this website)provide worse results that the XP Generic text driver !!! <p>Right "out of the box" this program converted three geneology databases perfectly after several other text drivers failed on most of them.

  The 15 page limit makes it hard for a real evaluation and I wish these software companies would partner with software security companies that can provide fully functional time limited versions. I will even take imprinting message or random placement of X's...Severe crippleware is an unfair evaluation.. I am trying to convert 500 MB databases. I did contact the publisher and they said if I bought and it didn't work I could get my money back...

  Pros

  Sometimes we need to get images from CAD programs, etc., into a PowerPoint-friendly format like JPG. (IE, convert vector graphics into raster images.) This software shows up just like a printer and converts anything you can print into a TIF or JPG image. The quality of conversion is excellent.
