  Final ringtone had a beeping noise in the background and it rendered the tone useless as far as I was concerned. I used the trial version.

• Poor Business Practices Poor Product Support-STAY AWAY!

  NONE! This a very poor product, and these folk seem to be out of business...Good Riddance!

  Cons

  The software does not work well PERIOD, consider yourself lucky if it does. Their main website is down, and customer support is a joke. Plus we had an account with Xingtones & were never able to collect on our earnings. They made off like bandits!

  Summary

  The software does not work on most phones. If you switch service carriers or even phones, don't even bother about your ringtones, they are lost. Often, you have to cut the ringtone down to 4-6 seconds in order for it to work. Sad Sad Sad!

  Pros

  When you have a supported phone and provider, it works great!! Create custom ringtones from any MP3 on your computer and pick the part of the song YOU want. Easy to use, simple interface.

  Cons

  Supported phone/provider list is spotty at best and may be completely useless for some.

  Summary

  I've had this program for years. Was with Cingular when I bought it and it worked great. Switched to Verizon and they never managed to support my phone until I upgraded two years later. Once I switched back to AT&T last year, I lost all use for this program as it doesn't work for iPhones at all. Don't expect any updates, though, as the Xingtone.com domain now goes to a generic advertising page. Out of business?

  Used to work, but website is not being kept up.

  The company went belly-up and the owner is still selling this product. His website needs to be up and running to convert your ringtones, and HIS SITE IS NOT maintaining the site operable to convert ringtones!!!

  Summary

  DON'T PURCHASE. YOU'LL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY ON A PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT WORK. Owner does not reply to inquiries.

  A previous trial version worked with Verizon.

  There's a limit to the number of tones. Bought it based on it working before. Newer version now doesn't work with Verizon. They posted a lame explaination that it's Verizon's problem.

  Emailed support received automated responsed and that's it. No phone number for company (major red flag) and the one I fournd was 555-1212 (directory assistance). Complained through PayPal and they only accept non-delivery complaints, not if it works or not! this was a $19.95 RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THIS IS A COMPLETE RIPOFF!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Oct 7, 2008<p/>Still a complete ripoff
