  - It works! - The tool offers a multitude of options - It works very fast and can be used to handle large amounts of data (80+ GBs) - The copy/paste issue some users mention in their feedback here is fixed - You get a 30 day money back guarantee in case things do not work out after all

  The only negative issue I came across in the whole process is that Sherrodcomputers did not refund the $ 19,95 I initially spent on their File Renamer Deluxe version claiming they cannot deactivate licenses... But that does not have anything to do with the Winsome product.

  Summary

  I purchased this software to rename files that contained a (1), (2) or (3) after going through thousands of folders with Duplicate Cleaner Pro and deleting the duplicate files automatically. Before I bought File Renamer from Winsometech, I made the mistake of buying File Renamer Deluxe by Sherrodcomputers since it had so many shareware accolades and I was in a hurry to get things done. As it turned out, the Sherrodcomputers software took forever (I canceled the process about fifteen minutes in since there was no end in sight) to process my 60+ GBs of Google Drive files on my notebook. I also tried that same process on my NAS with a lot more data in local folders but that was completely futile. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the latest release of the Sherrodcomputers software is from 2010 (version 6.3), which called the Windows 8.1 64 Bit compatibility into question. Following that experience, I was sufficiently frustrated to try something else. I ended up buying the Winsometech File Renamer software since it popped up first in a Bing search and looked much more modern. I just thought what the heck at that point and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the interface and the processing speed. The Winsometech software loads about 20.000 folders in 20 seconds (on my i7 with 16GBs of RAM and a Crucial M550 SSD). That is blazingly fast compared with the Sherrodcomputers File Renamer. Needless to say I am very pleased with my purchase and now having something that actually works. With the combination of Duplicate Cleaner Pro and Winsometech File Renamer 8.0 I was able to say bye bye to messed up file names and duplicates in my folders in a hurry. Doing the almost 4000 renames manually that were necessary just to fix my Google Drive folder would have been a nightmare! For anyone looking for a file renaming utility, I can recommend Winsometech File Renamer wholeheartedly. The ? 29,79 for a Winsometech File Renamer license including lifetime upgrades (? 17,03 + 12,76) is money well spent since it works really well.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Nov 9, 2014<p/>Correction: Not 20.000 folders but 20.000 files are loaded by Winsometech File Renamer 8.0 in about 20 seconds.

  I have over 100,000 music files, and it has saved me tons &#38; tons of hours/days/weeks. Couldn't live without it. Fabulous price as well.

  Easy to use. No adware when I downloaded. Don't know about other reviews. Cnet is getting a rep for adware. I love being able to drag and drop. I also like being able to correct a small titles under the general tab. You can try this thing for free for 500 changes! (Only 50 at a time. Love customer service. I had to reinstall several times because I download too much crap off of bit torrent. So I needed to have a new serial. Customer Service helped me both times.

  Cons

  Not sure I see any cons. If you use Cnet downloader make sure you uncheck every box and do not accept anything so you only get the program. I just installed it directly and had no problems.

  Summary

  If you download a lot of files which have long names including author title of series/albums as well as song/book and you need to rename 1000s of files this is the program for you.

• Beautiful Interface, Intuitive, and the best I found!

  Beautiful interface - a lot of thought has been put into this. The support has been superb. I only had 2 questions, both of which turned out to me me and my latest OS update, but the answers and the help I received was brilliant.

  Cons

  I haven't found one yet!

  Summary

  I spent a long time and tried over a dozen programs to rename files before I came across this one. The difference is immense. I highly recommend you at least try the demo, then you will see why this program is a must. It's really affordable (even for me!) and it's super-intuitive. This gets my top recommendation.

  THe rename options are easy to fololow and the program shows the changes prior to implementation. The rename options are flexible and the options are logical.

  Pros

  I have been using the previous versions of file renamer for a couple of years and every time I find it perfect but then the new upgrade surprise me. I am a very happy and satisfied customer of file renamer. I would highly recommend this to everyone needed bulk file renaming.

  It's already full of so many useful features and worked so fast that I have no complaints with this program.

  Pros

  Excellent user interface, very easy to use and love the instantaneous preview feature. I never get disappointed with the quick response from the support staff. I love the product more for the reason that they have the support for which customer is the first priority. Long way to go !

  Pros

  I generate thousands of files with various codes in their naming conventions. As I go through the files, they need renamed in order for me to keep track of them. I wrote an AppleScript to do some of it, but in the end I needed a more robust solution and File Renamer meets the need perfectly.

  Cons

  At this point, I haven't come across a scenario that it won't do.

  Summary

  It's really quite perfect for what I needed it for.
