A wide range of presets for different kinds of music is available. WIDI Recognition System is also capable of converting music on the fly, as you play the instruments. Pros
There are three slider adjustable parameters, and a harmonic shape diagram. Together they let you experiment a lot in the conversion process. Additionally, you can play with the bend range. Between Intelliscore, Digital Ear, and Widi, the best result converting a guitar track with overdrive was with Widi.
Cons
If you expect transcription grade quality out of a sub $500 program, you must be dreaming. Even if you paid $1,000,000, you could not buy such a program. Computers can beat humans at chess, but they are nowhere as good as a first year music student at transcribing music, or converting it to midi. Heck, they can't even do two instruments at once.
