As you'd probably guess, this application monitors Web pages and notifies you of content changes, but it doesn't highlight updates. Web Page Change Monitor's no-frills interface has a bar for you to type the URL of the site you want to monitor, which it displays below. The program checks on just one Web site at a time and only allows for monitoring in minute intervals. Notification is simply a pop-up box at the determined time interval with a two-word message: "Site changed." No further details are given about the changes.

It would've been ideal if the message box automatically popped up every time the page was updated and if modifications were highlighted. Since this is not the case, you'll need to constantly check the program and distinguish the updates yourself. In addition to that, the help file is missing in action. While this watchdog worked relatively fine, it isn't difficult to find more competent software with this type of functionality.

The GUI was herky jerky. Things happen that are unexplainable. Product performs no useful task for me.
Summary
1) The "Remove site" button doesn't work, but instead pops up a window telling you to right click the selection and choose "Delete" 2) After informing you of a change to a web page, (I did not use the email function, just the popup window/wav file method) the web page checking is turned off. So you have to re-enable it each time there's a notification 3) The scanning seems to NOT be able to ignore banner ads on the page, so pages with banners are ALWAYS changing, therefore generating notifications, so the product is useless for them. 4) The "Enter text to scan for" doesn't look for "changes" that include that text, it simply looks for that text. So pages with that text are always generating notifications. Those pages should only generate a notice the FIRST time the "Web Page Change Monitor" product detects that text NEWLY ADDED (in other words, a change) to the page. Was not useful for me.
