ClocX is a truly beautiful analog clock enhancement for your desktop. You can choose from a wide variety of styles, all of them high quality and very attractive. You can also use it to run one-time or recurring alarms, that can play a sound file, launch a message box or run an application of your choice. In addition, the program offers advanced features like anti-aliasing, transparency, click through, calendar display, customizable priority and more. You can change and configure the backgrounds. Not only can you make ClocX transparent, you can choose from 256 levels of transparency. If you never thought, you'd need a desktop clock, ClocX may change your mind.

Pros
None, not readable in a size you would like, most of the clock faces are badly shown, all in all just a great idea that needs to be finished.
Cons
No one tells you that on Windows 7 this is a complete waste of valuable time.
Summary
If you want to try to improve your skills at writing code, this is a good one to go at in the Windows 7 environment.

Pros
It really works great and so many skins available. Like the transparency feature and the alarm gets me to work on time which is the important part. See that many have mentioned that it hogs on CPU power but that's not my situation. You guys should verify your back ground applications in 'task manager'. Surely you will see that this is not the case with ClocX 1.6.
Cons
The only thing is that you have a BUG. When cursor goes to 'show desktop' on the lower right hand side of desktop, WINS 7-64, the clock lights-up for a split second. I'm sure you guys will get to that soon but besides that the APP is GREAT.... Thanks... now I get to work on time.

Pros
I have used this for years and it's never been a problem. It worked straight away, I chose the clock face I liked and set the degree of transparency to about 50%. It's a lot easier to see than the tiny time readout on the tray.
Cons
Clocx is sometimes in the way of a button or link but is very easily dragged out of the way.
Summary
I find it well worth having.
BRILLIANT! - BUT, keep an eye on cpu consumption!

Pros
Looks amazing once we define "amazing"! Well, everybody's different and there must be enough size/colour/skin/transparency styles in this clock for, literally, everyone. I'm a die-hard xp-pro advocate but this program works on all platforms. Like most folk, I'm not that keen on the "tiny" digital default xp clock buried in the bottom right corner of the status bar [but vista have analogue built in anyway as does windows7] - This clock is BETTER LOOKING than anything else out there and it's FREE!!

Deducted half a star because sometimes this clock HAMMERS the cpu!! - it crashed my desktop once in three months, so I will give it the benefit. Refer to review @honeybeey on Feb 25 2011 where "suspicious" activity is mentioned. I've looked into this [ALL freeware must have a "hidden agenda" else it wouldn't BE free in the 1st place] Anyway, I was unable to confirm "suspicious" but I can DEFINITELY confirm ACTIVITY [and LOTS of it] but I use a 27" LED monitor and I did enlarge the clock somewhat + pinned to d/top.

Looks brilliant. Something for everyone. It's FREE but HAMMERS cpu.

Pros
This was a pleasant surprise. Not only are there a nice choice of transparency options, but there's plenty of choices for clock faces, from watches, to grandfather clocks, to Mickey Mouse and Apples and constellations.
Cons
No Cons at all.
Summary
Nice options, easy to use, can be adjusted to be lightweight. Definitely recommend.

Pros
Selecting the calender date, and setting the time to be reminded is easy. The transparenancy works wel when hidding the clock as it runs in the background, then the alarm window pops up when the selected time as been reached.
Cons
suspicious activity, cpu tends to run high when there is no mouse movement or running programs. Can not setup reminders past March as the calender page continues to scroll non stop.
