This program rips CDs to ISO or OCD files and emulates a CD drive for the resulting files, but its interface could disappoint some users. Many programs require reading files from a key disk in the CD-ROM drive. Virtual Original CD Emulator creates a copy of the disk and stores it on your hard drive. You then use the program's virtual CD drive to host the copy, but only for those CDs without certain forms of copy protection. Using Original CD Emulator is simple. Most commands could be accessed with a single button, but we found the program interface cramped. Hosting an image on a virtual drive is a matter of dropping a link from an image on the virtual CD icon. A problem occurs if a user stops hosting an image and neglects to close all programs accessing the image. In that event the operating system will report an error until the original image is rehosted. Users also can easily burn the ISO or OCD files to a backup disk. We found this program useful and simple enough for novices.

Cons
cons - i have not found any yet.
Summary
useless piece of crap
diverdude132September 5, 2010
Pros
it looks clean
Cons
it's completely useless. it doesn't want to recognize any existing .iso files. all i wanted was a virtual drive to mount an iso to, and this thing couldn't even recognize it.
Summary
had it installed for less than half an hour. i quickly realized that this program is pointless. the few things it does do, other programs do much, much better. also, be aware that this download is only a DEMO VERSION.

Every time I tried to use the program it would give me the blue screen of death and reboot my system. I checked the company website and it was not help, sent a message to tech support and no reply. I was hopeful but it never worked.
