The Very Simple Database Inspector is a free database comparison and synchronization tool designed to synchronize structures between two or more databases. Compare tables, columns, primary keys, stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and indexes all from one interface. Save your common synchronizations, interface with third party software, customizable rules engine, search databases, save sql scripts and synchronize mapping/lookup tables. Supports Microsoft Sql Server and Microsoft Access.

Version 2.2 adds command line support. Command line support - see the command line tab at the top of the main window.

Pros
Does the job and creates the diff script should you wish to synchronise the database. Simple as the name suggests and to the point. <p> <p>Can be used to sync lookup tables.

Only DB types supported are MS Sql Server and MS Access. Tried using my DB2 DB names which didn't work - connection failed.

Pros
Does synchronization efficiently. <p>Smart design. Easy to use after a couple of hours. One of the best designed programs I have come across.
Cons
first time use not intuitive, no help functions, absolutely no info on the net. <p>In fact, you might give up as you can't find out how to use it properly. <p>This tool seems a lot smarter than I can tell from the (nonexisting) documentation.

This software is extremely easy to use and does everything you need. It didn't miss any changes from any of my databases. The third party integration is also extremely powerful and something I haven't seen before. Highly recommended
Cons
Encountered a few problems when changing primary key types. Would also like to see 'user' creation and synchronization (it currently assumes the same users as from the source database)

Unzips and uninstalls easily, and the description of the program is nice.
Cons
THe only thing this program allows you to do is see the basic interface, and all the upgrade messages. This is a tool for someone to harvest payment and email information, a completely and utterly useless piece of non-software. Don't even download it out of curiousity, unless you like the idea of cluttering up your registry even further and slowing down your computer for absolutely no reason.
