• cumbersome and incomplete

  fairly reasonable price but not as described install was simple but took 7 hours to download and install I tried to use some reports but could not figure it out.

  Cons

  most countries are missing so much basic information that the program is quite limited. Requires you to enter so much of the information that is missing. it would take hundreds upon hundreds of yours to enter it. most prices are missing or set to 0.25c. Website says it can be used like a catalog. Not true at all. Here is the response I received about missing information. "Sorry if you thought the program contained complete up-to-date listings for every country in the world.. it does not.have complete listings for South Africa as you can see ..." If you want to value your stamps with this program, you will have a monumental task to enter all the data yourself.

  Summary

  For me, this program is not adequate. I do not have the time to enter all the catalog information. I do not have the catalogs to even look up the information, so buying catalogs defeats the purpose. I am looking at a couple of other programs that look promising. There has to be something better than this

  Pros

  Thousands of stamp images and records in the catalog to use to organize and manage personal stamp collections. Ability to add/update issue information in a central location, including stamp values, so that all collection information is up-to-date. Easy to use.

  Cons

  Time investment to get started -- takes a long time to install. Many thousands of images.

  Summary

  I've recently downloaded this free demo. It has many of the features of the purchased copy and performs well. Some features, such as adding new stamp issues to the catalog, become available after registration. I now have upgraded to the 2016 version and have found it useful to organize and manage my stamp collections. Recommend.

  Pros

  Did not find any. Spent 4 Gb of my internet traffic and downloaded this monster. Then I just tried to add the first entry (Bulgaria, 1980, no Scott no.) and found it was impossible --> Trash

  Cons

  You cannot add many international items that has no Scott catalog #

  Easy to use. Affordable. Upload your own photos. Multiple entries for each stamp. Many features, so many I have not used them all. Better than the competing EZStamp.

  Affordable Easy to use Easy to identify stamps Variety of reports available Reports can be printed in various formats - i.e. Excel, PDF, etc.

  Cons

  Stamp photos not always high quality Depending upon the speed of your computer, the program may take up to an hour to download and install.

  Summary

  I decided to dust off my stamp albums that had been sitting on a shelf in the cupboard and take stock of what I had. StampManage Deluxe is perfect for this. The software is easy to use and easy to edit. Stamps can be added easily. This program is well suited to both beginner stamp collectors and long-time collectors. I had no problem with support. I emailed them with a question and received a response within 24 hours. I would certainly recommend this software.

  Pros

  Printing my reports to MS and saving in many different formats are very important to me. I have gotten all of the upgrades since 2010 as they are released. I too have tried other software programs and have found that this is the best one for me. There are many features that I have yet to explore and learn, but the more I use it the more I learn and the more fun it is.

  Cons

  Emails are slow in replying back. I will have to try the "chat" feature on the website in the future. Thanks for the heads-up from "oldman43" about that feature.

  Summary

  I will buy this again, and would highly recommend it to my stamp collecting friends and to any new collectors.

  I fully agree with the comments that the users who gave it 4-5 stars have said. No sense repeating them. I have been using it for many years. After my initial purchase, I encountered the same support issues and decided to look elsewhere for my program. However, after trying many different programs(both free and purchased), I concluded that StampManage was the best one....even with support issues. Since then, I have been extremely happy with the program. The best way to get support is via the "chat" feature on the website. It is not constantly monitored, but if you keep checking the site and find a "live operator", they will answer your questions. Additionally, if you permit it, they can also look at your installation remotely and solve any issues on the spot. I think that probably most of the "computer crash" issues are not due to the program, but do to either a "weak" computer setup or operator issue of some type. If "crashing" was a major issue, he would have been out of business long ago.....and remember, people who are happy typically don't write reviews....for every negative review, there are probably 100 people who are happy and just haven't been vocal about it. One nice feature is the ability to export this to Microsoft Excel. By doing this, I am able to put my collection on my Android tablet and smartphone (Ipad also) that I can carry around to stamp shows etc. I would buy this again, and would highly recommend it to my stamp collecting friends.

  Cheap Cannot say anything good as I could not use it long enough before it stops working.

  Took Over 9 hours to setup. Difficult to use. Program CRASHES my Win 8 computer & I have to reboot. I spent several hours trying to figure out how to enter data & why there was so much data missing. None of the countries are complete (did not check canada or united states - i don't collect them ). Many countries have no data other than a scott number and even then, those are not complete. (why not Stanley Gibbons #'s?). Wrong information for many countries. Some have data for the wrong country (no quality control). Sparse images and most are low quality - not the high resolution claimed. Repeatedly I keep getting an ERROR 3001 and an error 11 and then it hangs up my system. Quality control is non existent in this program - not surprising though as evidenced by the complete lack of response to problems.

  Summary

  I am very unhappy with this program. I bought it because it was cheaper than some other programs, but I guess that was a big mistake. I wish I had read the reviews about this company. There is absolutely no support for this program. No phone # to call so you are left hanging. I tried re-installing it ( another 9 hours wasted ) and got the same issue. I finally gave up and uninstalled it (that took over 2 hours also ) and got my money back. My advice to anyone considering this program is that you are on your own - expect no support. I want a program that I can rely on if I am going to spend so much time entering my valuable collection. Hope this helps someone else

• Very Disappointing product & company

  NO SUPPORT. Tried for 3 weeks to get help with email and their stupid forum. the countries/data are utterly full of errors and missing data. I collect many countries, including Brazil, & their data is pathetically lacking. Extremely inconsistent entry of data. looks like it was put together in a mad rush & it shows. I entered a new country they were missing & all seemed OK. Then I realized it was all placed into the wrong country by the program. Crashed regularly. I would not trust my data & time with this software.complete waste of time & money. Very frustrating. Company does not respond to questions or problems. They are quick to take your money though. I would stay far away from this product and company.

  Summary

  Although it is cheap, I would not recommend this to anyone. You are in for trouble right from the get go. Since there is NO SUPPORT, it's useless. I received this as a gift and it has wasted my time & caused me utter frustration. Does not run on Win 8.1, so I was forced to use it on win 7(my old machine). I will be looking into other products. What a horrible experience.

  Pros

  impossible to say as I could not run it long enough but images that I did see were definitely not high quality and there was a large amount of information missing (especially prices). was able to use it for about 30 minutes before it crashed & burned after spending 7.5 hours to install!!! worst of all is that they ignore all emails & they have no phone 3 to call for help

  Cons

  program crashes with errors (schema error??, missing files) several attempts to get help went unanswered. had to request refund from credit card company (was a retirement gift)

  Summary

  not worth it. very frustrating experience and a great waste of time. i would not recommend this product or company. i have since found a program that works right out of the box am am very please with it.
