Overly basic and far too restricted, this macro recorder can't hold a candle to even its free competitors. While Smack Macro Recorder can indeed record and play back mouse and keyboard macros, it can't edit them. Once you've recorded a macro, your options include the ability to change playback speed and assign the macro a hot key. In keeping with its bare-bones approach, Smack offers only three playback speeds and doesn't allow you to use function keys as hot keys. The lack of editing features means you can only rename or delete your macro, change its hot-key assignment, or set the macro to open on system start. On top of that, the unregistered version lets the user record only 10 macros, and removes all saved macros when you close the program. Novices will find Smack easy to use, but even they may feel like giving this frustrating utility a good, uh, slap.
Record and replay your keyboard and mouse activities.Smack Macro Recorder records keyboard, records mouse movement, records mouse clicks. All recorded Keystrokes and mouse activity can be replayed or saved to disk as a file for later use or even compiled to an EXE-file (a standalone Windows application). Use Smack to automate any combination of tasks. Version 1.06 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
