• Looks nice and it works as it should!

  Pros

  First of all, it works as it should. Shows CPU and RAM usage (that's the most important isn't it?). You can customize the appearance by changing text, background and charts colour and transparency, or choose from the 5 themes it comes with. Also it only takes 5 MB from my RAM.

  Cons

  It would be good to be able to customize the width of the widget. Also I'd like to have the option to remove the IP or the upload/download bars. Needs Yahoo! Widgets to run (don't know if there's any other widget program like Yahoo!)

  Summary

  Nice and simple. If you want a cpu monitor widget, just install it.

  Summary

  I have mine tucked behind the taskbar, showing only the cpu graph, and I love how quickly I can tell what the system is doing-busy or idling, and especially, are background apps running. (Anyone with Vista knows about it being resource-greedy...) In a way, SimpleMonitor is a much smaller display of the performance selection in Task Manager with options including color, refresh rate, tranparency, and more. Paired with another widget, systemDashboard CPU meter, the user can easily tell at a glance what the computer is doing. Highly recommended for Windows XP, Vista, and 7.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Oct 11, 2012<p/>An added requirement, also on Cnet, is Yahoo Widgets, the engine that supports the apps.

  Pros

  very, very (as in, download it and click it) simple to set up and run; has a huge array of things it can display all of which are given in a very easily readable format with a graph in a nice bay.

  Cons

  I got it to monitor my RAM, and it didn't. It simply failed to give any information on it. I have 4 Gigs of DDR2 800 running in dual channel mode, so this program may not like dual channel mode or perhaps it doesn't like 4G. Now you're warned.
