SimpleAuthority is a fully functional Certification Authority (CA) that is designed to be very easy to use. It generates and manages keys and certificates that provide cryptographic digital identities for people and/or computer servers. These identities are designed to be used in applications for secure email, document signing, VPN access, client SSL authentication and/or server SSL authentication. Unlike most CA products, SimpleAuthority is very easy to use and does not require any specialist PKI knowledge or supporting components like an external database. It is built on The Legion of the Bouncy Castle cryptographic library.

makes PKI easy

Pros
Easy to use graphical interface makes working with all kinds of certificates a snap. No need to learn complicated (and often contradictory) OpenSSL instructions. Well worth the money.
Cons
Requires installation of Java (included) - installation is dead simple.
Summary
Easy to use solution for individuals and small and medium sized businesses for creating, tracking, and managing certificates in a easy, secure manner. Also, I found that the author is extremely responsive to questions -- that's worth the price of the software by itself. If you've struggled setting up SSL on web servers (HTTPS) or tried to set-up VPNs, you'll find this product makes your life so much easier.
