• Still a great Juke Box!

  Many of you I'm sure have already purchased one of the neat little NetBooks and have found out just how limited they really are with the included Windows 7 Starter. Many Windows 7 Programs will not work with Windows 7 Starter at all, and many that do have occasional graphics problems. All though SilverJuke has not been updated since 2008 and there are no Windows 7 drivers available (let alone no backward compatibility of Windows XP with Windows 7 Starter...), I am happy to say SilverJuke 2.72 works flawlessly in my Acer Aspire One NetBook (single core Atom N455) with not even as much as a simple occasional graphics error using Windows 7 Starter. If you think this program is outdated, think again!

  Cons

  It would be nice if there was a bar of buttons between songs in queue and the selection area allowing for an different sorting of the music - by Album Title, Artist, Song Title, Genre and by the Date. Even with this addition, SilverJuke could still maintain its un-cluttered "easy to use by anyone" approach.

  Summary

  I give thia program 4 instead of 5 Stars just because of it's lack of available different sorting options. Otherwise, this is killer simple music player program that would be otherwise perfect as a dedicated Juke Box at any party, without the clutter of non-necessary features that would normally intimidate those who would like to just select a song or two. The ability to see several album covers at once wnen selecting music (no different than picking out a physical album in your collection in alphabetical order) is a nice additional touch to the program.

  I use it in a retail store. I have recorded jingles for advertising etc, the software plays a few tracks and then the adds a jingle, works great, FADE INS AND OUTS VERY PROFESSIONAL.The best is the EQ, the sound quality is great <p>very low memory usage too, always a plus

  This is the best player I've found. Very simple to use and easy to cue up a playlist. Automatically finds album art also. Great program.

  -Good menu system, easy to find your songs when dealing with large libraries <p>-Supports all audio formats <p>NOTE - there is a dll to download from their site to support AAC in response to previous reviewer <p>-Fast, doesn't start to hog resources like winamp - or have that slow initial loadup <p>-With the Vista skin, looks and plays lots better than WMP

  Small size,excellent and easy interface,supports more formats than either Windows Media Player or Itunes,has an excellent array of dsp effects and supports VST plugins also,fast database search and many many other powerful features hidden in an easy and elegant interface.
