Manage your music collection with ease.

SongKong is designed to take all the difficulty out of managing your music collection. Simply select your music folder and select Fix Songs. SongKong searches online Music Databases such as MusicBrainz and Discogs to match your songs and updates your songs with the correct information from these databases , including artwork There is no limit to how many songs you can fix in one go.After your songs have been fixed a detailed report is generated containing details of everything that has been changed.

If SongKong has changed your files and you don't like the results, you can revert changes at any time. All changes are stored in SongKong's internal database so simply start SongKong and select the folder (or sub folder) you modified and select Undo Changes Made . You can also set SongKong to watch a folder and automatically fix songs added to that folder. SongKong can also easily find duplicate songs in your collection with the Delete Duplicate Songs option.

Awesome tagging software for BPM and Mood version (4.2)

Pros
- Tags with BPM and Mood - Both BPM and Mood are very precise Gives a complete report in HTML that shows: - Matches/unmatches with databases - Changes in matches - Tags automatically - Play the song from the report
Cons
Not all songs can be matched - Language does not always fit to the actual language of the song, but rather the artist - Report could should also be available in other formats like XML instead of HTML.
Summary
It is very good at tagging your music and gives a greate resume of the songs you have chosen to tag
Very inaccurate. iTunes does all the same stuff better.

Summary
1. Inaccurate: Numerous songs were mistagged and separated from the rest of the album to which they belonged. This was so bad that I had to restore my entire (6000 song) library from a backup taking hours to accomplish. Also, the software does not seem to recognize compilations, as the one I had was separated into several different albums (the original ones from which they were extracted) even though the song metadata included the compilation album name as well as the song name. Support: While the developer did make suggestions, he ignored my statement that I had followed his suggestions and got the wrong results a second time requiring another restoration of my 70 GB library, because his "undo" command failed. He insulted me for not reading the instructions for his interface (for which see below). The trial version did not write the changes so I had no way to see if it was working using iTunes. He refused to refund my money. Interface: Probably the most complex interface I have ever seen (and I have been using purchased software since 1980). Starting to fix songs brings up a set of preferences, some technical, on which there are no fewer than 11 tabs! This requires reading a lot of documentation. I prefer intuitive software. This is the second of this sort of software I have tried. The other was just as bad. Stick with iTunes. You can do all the same things with it, and it works most of the time (and it's much maligned interface is better than that of SongKong).

Pros
Automatically updates tags, filenames and even folder structure of music library. Includes integration with Itunes (which I don't use) and offers Plex Media Center preferred file structure (which I do use). Can handle very large libraries without crashing.
Cons
Causes more problems than it fixes. In multiple cases broke up artists into (actual examples) Bangles & The Bangles; Pretenders and The Pretenders without recognizing that they are the same bands. All of my music had artwork before scan. 50% did not afterward--the program apparently deleted my existing artwork. Doesn't seem to know what to do with singles, which more often than not the program simply ignores. As a test I ran my artist folder for the band 20/20 several times in a temp folder. 20/20 cannot be entered with the correct character in Windows. Program gave different results on multiple scans, labeling the artist 20.20, 20 20 and something else I can't remember. Program did nothing with the singles, so the artist in the metadata for them didn't match the albums and the artist in the albums didn't even match from album to album. Very frustrating.
Summary
This program is a huge waste of money. My music was already organized via artist and album in a designated music folder and all the tracks had names, so it should have been easy for SongKong to identify the music and fix the tags. The program couldn't tag most singles and ep's, so it created situations where the artist for those tracks was different in the metatag from the artist for the album (actual example--Tom Robinson & Robinson, Tom). This creates problems if you are trying to organize your library to use with Plex, Emby or even I-tunes since the entries show up as if they were different artists. Undo will only undo an entire operation, not individual albums or artists where it screwed up. This was money flushed down the toilet. Don't waste yours.

The software was able to identify and tag songs.
Cons
Though it tagged songs, it made quite a few mistakes. I didn't document the number, but I would guess it was as high as 1 in 10. The system's connection to the online databases was spotty at best. It cancelled the operations over and over. I had numerous times where it was only able to complete 5-20 songs of the the 5,000 songs I was tagging before it timed out. I tried the option of downloading a database to my local drive and using a Virtual Machine. This never ended up working and just caused me hours upon hours of frustration. Due to these problems, I had to check every song for accuracy, fix those and fill in the ones that didn't tag at all.
Summary
Overall, I felt it was a waste of $30 and a good deal of time.

Pros
I found this program very powerful and straight forward. I just point it to my music collection and it goes through and reads the info, identifies those that are missing info, and tags all my songs. It does a great job at filling in missing info as it uses multiple sources to find the data needed such as musicbrainz, discogs, and acouticid.
Cons
Not really much of a con, but the program does need internet access to be able to use all the features. This is kind of a given as it needs to be able to communicate with musicbrainz, discogs, and acouticid.
Summary
Great little program. Very easy to use. Highly recommend trying it out!
Very easy way to get your music into shape

Pros
I tried this with some trepidation as I have used automatic tagging tools before with limited success, but it worked ! Tried it on a couple of albums and very quickly it came back with a report showing all changes and my songs were all fixed when i looked in Winamp. Then tried it again on a 1000 songs and it took a while but had nearly matched all of them with pictures.
Cons
None really, you just have to try it, there was an Undo button as well but i haven't tried that.

Easy way to sort music out.
