Fed up of having to trawl through 10's or 100's of files looking for that bit of information you need because you can remember where the file is? (Many programmers will know exactly what I mean!) There is now no need to deal with that little annoying paper clip or animated character We all know that the windows version of the search function is slow and almost useless for searching inside any files. This is where my program comes into its own, just tell it where you want it to look, if you wanting to look inside the sub-folders and if it is a file name or word or phrase in file. Then click search, my program will then go and search and return the files that match your query, quickly and simply.The software is now capable of searching through Microsoft Office documents such as Word & Excel easily and can even search through PDF files! Pros
Can search Word, Excel & PDF files surprisingly quickly as well as loads of other file types. Like that you can skip certain types of files.
Cons
Would like to be able to customize it and make it look more colorful.
Summary
It is something that has always bugged me that I couldn't search in Microsoft's own programs in their search explorer and that is what most of my documents are. This little program has saved me quite a few hours of searching. I am off to buy this now because for the money this is a great little program. It does what some of the more expensive programs do for a fraction of the price and without the bloated size. I would like to be able to customize the program to look a little more colorful but that is just nit picking as it does exactly what it needs to.
