Safe Device for Windows

This simple executable improves ejecting removable drives, but includes an irritating pop-up. Safe Device's interface is a simple list of removable drives with a trio of function buttons. You won't need a manual for this app.

Operating Safe Device is very easy. You merely choose a drive and press either the Device Flush or Device Eject button. Ejecting a device is much quicker than with the usual Windows process. Flushing a device's cache data is immediate. Applications using removable drives also are listed, and the Windows Flush function quickly removes application-delayed write data.

During testing the app was occasionally interrupted by an error dialog pop-up. The error didn't affect program operation and is easily dismissed. Safe Device is a very useful app for anyone using removable drives.
