RGS-AvaCam is a webcam tool used to view your webcam(s) or whatever video device you have installed on your PC. A Webcam program designed with an intuitive user interface that makes AvaCam easy to use. Automatically save pictures on any interval, view, print, copy and edit your snapshots and view the video full screen.

Resize the video source to any size you want (also full screen). Record video and save them as AVI-files (using any compression available) to your hard disk. Setup your video device with all available features your device has.

Probably great for normal webcams

Looks like it's well done and easy to use.
Cons
I've got 5 megapixel camera that looks great on Skype, but blurry here. I couldn't figure out how to make it use my desktop mic.

monitor multiple cams in different programs at once; areas of priority within the image are programable; accept any feed on your pc; may upload to a web server all captured (live) and can program start & end daily jobs, to save disk space.
Cons
there must be yet, is out of my personal 'need' list.

I looked everywhere for an application that would let me full screen my webcam on by PC or Projector screen. I do labs with my students and use the webcam to guide the students through the dissection process. This program was a life saver and the only one that allowed me to resize the video to any format or size without slowing down my computer:) good work!
Good, but could be much better.

Can not set the sensitivitet for the motion function. Help-file doesn't work in Win 7 without a extra program.

Just does what I need it to do. 1) turn on my cam 2) take pics of stuff 3) save those pics.

None that I can find so far. Its just what I was looking for when I went from Win Vista to Win 7

Works for me. Free, does what I need it to.And when my laptop company told me that they can't help me any more. I guess for now on I'm getting a **** (fill in the the blank that's the right amount of letters) ( my old company has this my **)

I rate this 4 stars because it does exactly what I need it to do - take snapshots and save it.
Cons
It seems like whenever I try to delete a photo from the program - the program itself crashes and freezes up.

Doesn't recognise my Microsoft webcam on my Vista pc.
Summary
Doesn't do a very good job for what it promises to be able to do. I now use Picasa from Google instead, which is freeware, and works with my webcam perfectly.

very simple..just wanted something to make my built-in laptop webcam take snapshots and this program does it perfectly. saves each picture straight to a folder in the programs directory. havent tried any other feature yet

-its not all fancy like photobooth or youcam but if u have a webcam on your laptop and just wanna take this will do just fun

Ever since youcam chose to fail me I've been searching for a free software program that allows me to take pictures with my webcam. I found the free online photo capture cameroid.com...but i had to be online. this program does the basic photo capture. I cant seem to get it to save the motioncap and video storage...which is why they dont work...im assuming...i didnt really read the manual, guess ill have to this once but it does register movement...just doesnt have a place to save :P In the end...you want something that is FREE to take pictures with on your webcam download this now!
