This application creates a special DOS prompt to run batch files and other executable programs as though from the System Console. PowerPrompt's display is a basic DOS command dialog limited to font, size, and color changes. This program allows users to access programs where administrator rights were revoked. Our tests found PowerPrompt opened all executables and Windows commands with System rights. The Microsoft .NET framework is required to use this application. PowerPrompt does not install on your system. Its small size and power make it a perfect addition to a system administrator's toolkit. Any user level can easily run this freeware, but novices without understanding of the Windows Operating System could introduce errors into the Registry.

Start a new command console to access all processes.
PowerPrompt will start a new command console. This console is running with System privileges and any program launched from this prompt will inherit System credentials. This allows you access to all processes, including system processes, full access to the registry, and Active Directory. In rare cases the power of PowerPrompt will solve problems that otherwise would require a system boot.
