This program takes an interesting approach to protecting your privacy and keeping your computer safe from offenders. In short, PowerShadow creates a virtual drive on your computer. When you enter shadow mode, the application saves all system changes and user activities on the virtual drive instead of on your actual PC. Every time you restart, your machine will revert to its original state, wiping away nasties such as spyware and eliminating your surfing and application histories. However, since this process also will wipe away useful changes such as edits in a Word document, you must remember to save things you want to keep on your actual hard drive. In general, the app's interface is elegant and easy to navigate, and it didn't appear to slow our PC when running in the background. PowerShadow will be especially useful for those who share computers, but other folks may find it another useful weapon in the war against adware.

Replacement for Deepfreeze? Then this program is waiting to be installed!

Pros
Easy to use program for hard drive virtualization, much like Deep Freeze. Also the GUI is user friendly so those who are not savvy won't be scared to operate this program. In some cases, it can actually increase system performance a bit. It has a nifty button in the GUI when switching to shadow mode without the use of restarting, although a restart is needed when switching to normal mode. You can find the key to activate this program in most security sites like castlecops wiki.
Cons
Users who has RAID in their hard drives are not supported. Tried that and an error shows up. You may see "error code : 82f37128". If so may try searching for the 2.8.2 version in some sites with the english translation.

Pros
this would be it! There is a version 2.82, but it's in Chinese. There is a work-around, but I just decided to go for the 2.6 that is already in English. The program comes with step-by-step instructions that even a noob could have working in seconds. Default settings make sure of that. Pop-ups guide you through engaging the "shadow" and what to do when you try to reboot. Could not be any easier. All changes done in Windows are gone after restart. Uninstalling applications aren't even permanent. WARNING:SHUT DOWN ALL RUNNING PROGRAMS BEFORE ACTIVATING THE "SHADOW" And yes, I know this for a fact....good thing I back-up everything.
Cons
The only thing that would make this perfect, would be if the original website listed the FREE key-code on their page;)

After downloading this program and restarting my computer, I was unable to reboot my computer . And that includes in the safe mode .(using the f8 key to go to the safe mode menu). I ended up having to spend money and time getting my computer right again . As I said in the header, download at your own risk . If you do download this program, back up your files and important documents first on a seperate peripheral driver or disc and have your OS start up disc handy as well .
