  Pros

  Syntax highlighting, as one could expect from an IDE. Uninstalled easy enough.

  Cons

  Where to start... 1 - The LARGEST pain point of this software is when it recommends code completion, it takes focus out of the IDE forcing you to focus back in (Alt + Tab, click in the IDE, etc). OMFG, that is hands down the WORST thing I've ever seen in any IDE. I'd rather use notepad because of that. 2 - The interface is quite clunky. For example, I can't even disable the craptastic code completion - I've got to manually delete every tag from the list to do so. 3 - The git integration seems quite limited, though I only used it for a bit and uninstalled. One major gripe might be from using IntelliJ solutions like PHPStorm where you can track down merge conflicts VERY quickly. 4 - No auto-save that I can see. Maybe it's in their semi-cryptic preferences somewhere. 5 - The debugger is absolutely atrocious. It runs a browser inside of the IDE, and causes random errors inside of my project. 6 - No SCSS/SASS support that I can see. 7 - The trial splash screen delay.

  Summary

  This is something I'd have tried out back in maybe 2005. IDEs like this made me absolutely hate IDEs until I was highly encouraged to try IntelliJ. Before that moment, I thought IDEs were cute little syntax highlighters with some useful features like FTP. That about sums this program up. To the developers: Making me stare at your ridiculous trial splash screen is absolutely asinine. I KNOW I AM TRYING THIS SOFTWARE OUT. Anything that nags at me and forces me to stare at a dinky little licensing screen for ~5 seconds before opening a file (usually when needing to open it quickly) does not get a cent of my money. My woes are probably my own fault. I use IntelliJ IDEA at work, and didn't want to pay for it for my home PC. I've always been cheap that way I guess. Well, one good thing that came from trying to make some [simple] changes to my framework with this software is that it spurred me into spending money on PHPStorm. I now realize how absolutely spoiled I am in literally every way one could be by software. It loads faster, it looks better, it debugs like a dream, git is second nature to it, SCSS/SASS listening was a pain in the ass to setup on Windows but that's because of Compass, project-wide searches take a fraction of the time, code-completion doesn't make me want to throw my PC out the window (like phpDesigner's), etc. If there was room for more characters in the "Cons" section, I'd have filled it. I could have written a novel, but alas I am confined.

  Code Complition FTP Connection & Online Editing Many available tools

  Cons

  Code Folding Heavy software for small PC Code Styles can harm your phpDesigner (I damaged my one) look, and does not correctly return to some stable theme, or when you load a predefined theme, the new theme will still be damaged.

  Summary

  In general I suggest this software for Junior developers. It is very helpfull for new users, simple and fast learning software.

  Pros

  For the price, you can't beat it, it rivals other PHP editors that are three times as costly. I still have a free 2005 edition of PHP designer, and it is a PHP programmers dream

  Very fast application. Built in syntax validation, excellent theme engine, built in FTP, multiple project management, does not junk your project folders with stupid config files. Just a well built application

  Everyone's still waiting on code folding. I hear it's in the works. There's nothing else.

  Pros

  Its a php editor, and html, a css editor. I also use it for xml, json, javascript. This thing does it all, really and the libraries are insanely awesome! I really can't say enough good things about this program.

• Easy Software for PHP, Javascript, HTML and CSS Editing

  Pros

  Full featured inline debugging feature, saves me countless of hours of PHP bug checking. Intuitive interface that any beginner will understand as well full of features for the more advanced user. Small footprint and stable software that runs great.

  Cons

  Not much...The developer is working on adding code folding.

  Pros

  Inline error detection, direct support for Localhost, FileZilla. Low overhead and low cost. It's the best php editor out there bar none.

  Cons

  Sometimes the default settings can throw off your code with auto insertion. But they can be controlled.

  Summary

  A must have for any php designer.
