HTML Tidy fixes HTML-tagging mistakes automatically and tidies up sloppy editing into nicely layed-out markup. It also works great on the atrociously hard-to-read markup generated by specialized HTML editors and conversion tools, and can help you identify where you need to pay further attention on making your pages more accessible to people with disabilities. HTML Tidy is able to fix up a wide range of problems and brings to your attention things that you need to work on. Each item found is listed with the line number and column, so that you can see where the problem lies in your markup. HTML Tidy won't generate a cleaned-up version when there are problems that it can't be sure of how to handle. These are logged as "errors" rather than "warnings".

If I start writing all the cons in this programs it may take more than 5 pages! This program is just a joke. It doesnt do anything. It is just a dos program where you can do nothing except to sit and watch a html line. So trust me and dont download this and waste your precious time

I had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. Cleaned up some insanely unlegible HTML instantly! And yes, it can update the original file for you! No cutting and pasting is necessary!

Html tidy is a DOS mode application. Once you visit the web site and view the documentation and start to use it you'll see how handy it is at fixing Html - don't be put off by all the negative comments as most of these guys probably want a point and click app thats FREE and are too lazy to read the documentation. Thanks to the author.

Anyone who plans on deploying web sites or web applications that use any form of static HTML will benefit greatly from this product. It parses out all non-compliant HTML, and makes entire documents XML compliant with the press of a button, unless you're using DOS mode :)

I use tidy.exe to "beautiful" a lots of my html pages, but I sadly found both of them was unclean to read now. and some <tr> not close with </tr> etc sorry I down it.
