Pegasus Mail allows you to send, receive, and manage your email, whether on your network or Gmail, Yahoo, or other Internet-based accounts.

Pros

Easy setup: From the initial install and setup, Pegasus Mail helps guide you with easy-to-follow wizards and a good Help file/user manual. For single users, you may have to look up the POP information for your Internet emails, but for the most part, the work is done for you. Setting up for multiple users does require some tech know-how, but the Help file also covers setup options in detail.

Multi-user support: We liked the fact that each user could have their own folders and separate setup, but you could also opt to share an address book with all users.

Easy to navigate: Similar to Outlook, the left pane holds a tree list of your email-related folders, which you can view in more detail on the right. There are more icons, but descriptive tooltips help explain the purpose of each.

Cons

Interface: We'll have to nitpick here, because Pegasus Mail was an all-around good app in our tests. If we could change one thing, it might be to spruce up the utilitarian interface. It's hard to quibble when other paid email clients aren't that pretty either, but it is the program's weakest point.

Bottom Line

With its multi-account support and clean, easy to navigate interface, Pegasus Mail is a great tool. Even if you've never set up an email client before, the wizards and helpful user manual will give you all the help you need. Best of all, it costs nothing to try.

Tried for hours to get at a simple Gmail account with different settings of ports and security etc, POP and IMAP, listed in Gmail's instructions. Installed and uninstalled several times with changing parameters. The best I got was an error message that the connection was rejected. Otherwise it didn't catch anything...

I used to swear by this program, after many bugs crept into the updates and were not fixed for extended periods of time, including use with other languages, I had no choice but to abandon this program. The author is basically a one man show, with some user assistance in his community, but this hasn't been enough to overcome the shortcomings of a one man show.

I installed and launched the program. The setup screen prompted to select network, multi-user or single user installation. After clicking the button it disappeared and never came back. Pegasus mail installed to programs the Pegasus Mail program and the HTML Renderer. I could not uninstalled the renderer. I looked for hours via google search to remove all parts of Pegasus to no avail. I basically had to install again, uninstall, delete the Pegasus folders from the C drive manually and then remove registry entries manually. Of course this will leave you with the feeling that parts of it are still installed some where else like system32 etc
Summary
I highly recommend you look for another email client if you have any other operating system with Vista or higher.
Setting it up is a full time job.

Was easily installed and worked right away. Easy to used as a basic email system at first.
Cons
The most complicated is the more fancy set-up like coloring, identification of folders, etc. Windows (7)doesn't see it. Is it because it need to be installed in drive C:? and I didn't found how to make it worked with other application (Picassa, IE, Skipe). It's like the program is not there even if I made associated ext.mapimail with Pegasus mail for Windows.
Summary
Anyway, it seems to be a very promising application; I have a lot of time so I will work on it.
I find it very difficult to set-up.

I don't seem to get the answers I need from the help file. I could never figure out how to change to HTML and change how to view incoming mail. It is to time consuming in my opinion..

I think there are better choices, although I can't find an e-mail client I like since I can't get Outlook Express..

Works fine if you can conquer the learning curves of setting it up. For the average user that is not going to happen.
Cons
Much too complicated to set up and the only way to remove it is formatting the PC. (The Only Way)
