Even though your computer is still working, you might not want, or need, to be there while it finishes up the job at hand. PC Sleep is a simple tool that lets you shut down your computer at a specific time or within a specific time frame, so you can set it and walk away.

Installing PC Sleep requires a Dot Net Framework, but the process is simple. While it offers eye-friendly and mouse-friendly features, the small interface is designed to do the job as quickly and efficiently as possible in two basic steps: choosing the action you want to perform and choosing when you want it to happen. In addition to shutting down your computer, you can use PC Sleep to perform other related functions such as rebooting or logging off. As promised, a pop-up window appears before your PC shuts down, so you can halt the action if you're still working.

A minor issue with the tool's installation is that it will install a Start Menu icon without permission. Otherwise, it uninstalls cleanly. This is a simple tool designed to do a simple task. It doesn't offer any other bells and whistles, but PC Sleep works well and it costs you nothing to add to your toolbox.

uninstalled so could not test intended program
Cons
adware attempted to install & was stopped by winpatrol. comodo tried to block malware. in end i had to use system restore. note this was after i used custom install & did not select toolbar. i cannot believe cnet allow this.

Pros
Does what it says. Its a timer it shutdowns, restarts, hibernates, etc without any issues. My favorite thing with this software is that it safely shuts down no quick power down witch to me is great.
Cons
No cons at all to me this is a wonderful free software.
Summary
This is a must have for people who do late night updates, downloads or just love sleeping with noise. There is no worry's with using too much power all night. Just set it and forget it.

-PC-Sleep has two functions options: Power-Down At; and Power-Down In -Free -Effective for users with Dial-Up -Easy to Use -More than 1 option (Power-Down, Sleep, etc.) -Many Windows OS's.
Cons
-Requires NET Framework -Could have added some more functions (Not a big Complaint)
Summary
This program, is plug-in and play. Just install it, and choose what you want it to do. It harnesses the power of shutting down, in a way that most companies force you to pay for, or haven't thought of. Very effective for people who leave their computer to do long tasks.

May not be the prettiest thing going, but definitely does the job. Dependable, works like it should.
Cons
Could use a looks update. Also, having to track down old .Net software a bit annoying. But pros greatly outweigh the few pesky cons.

PC Sleep is a free sleep timer for your computer. You can leave your computer and PC Sleep will safely perform the selected function in the entered amount of time with no effort on your part. A noticeable pop-up window will appear when there is one minute left on the timer. The same window will pop-up if no time is selected; giving you 30 seconds to stop the timer before PC Sleep executes the selected function. This utility is particularly good for long downloads where you would like your computer to shut down after a certain amount of hours, playing music before you go to bed, or any other reason you might need PC Sleep to perform its functions while you're away from your computer.
