  Pros

  None - I can't even get it to run.

  Cons

  Wont install from the PC Pro 12.5 install disk. Get 'Main GUI Application has encountered a problem' etc etc. Not spending any more time trying to fix it as if a program wont even load how reliable can it be?

  DT PC Backup Pro is the same software as NovaBackup with a different logo slapped on it. The interface for this software is exactly the same as NovaBackup! I don't know what they did with this software. Did they illegally decompile the software and then market it at their own? Or is it NovaBackup making a "alternative" backup solution? What ever the reason, I would stay clear of this shady product. Instead, go with NovaBackup or Acronis TrueImage Home. NovaBackup has offered their Professional 12.5 release for free to the public so grab it while you can. Hope this helped!

  I submitted a ticket for pre-sale questions on an upgrade. 3 days later I received an answer that appeared to be to somebody else's questions, had NOTHING to do with what I asked. It included a link to the FAQ on a competitors website. Sending me to the competition? Really?? I asked again for them to answer the actual questions I asked, no response. Every 1-3 days I re-ask them to answer -my- questions. No response. It's been almost a month and no answer to simple purchase questions that would take 1-3 minutes to answer. C'mon folks, I'm asking you questions whose answer would give you revenue and you are not interested in answering? In this economy you don't want to take my money?? Seriously???<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Feb 10, 2012<p/>Argh! Please pardon my typos in headline - some of the "worst" customer service I've dealt with.

• Unreliable and bad customer service

  Pros

  Easy to use and easy to set up, that is the best I can say.

  Cons

  I am trying to use this software for over a year. Sometimes it will work but most of the time, I get error message which is hard to unravel. Customer service is non-existent. You are asked to open tickets but no one response to tickets. I am waiting on the last response for over 2 weeks now.

  Fast, especially compared to Windows 7 backups. It will do incremental or overwrites.

  Takes some time to get the hang of it.

  Pros

  I like the software. Very easy to use and have been backing up 3 computers now for about 2 months. I like the flexibility as well. It allows for plain copies as well as encrypted backup. Very easy to use and I like the restore function as well.

  Cons

  Their support group is terrible. I contacted them to ask a question and did not get a response for over a week. When I finally got one, it was not detailed, just a one liner and even after 2 submits to them, my question was not answered.

  Summary

  As I mentioned, the software seems to work great, at least on windows xp but if you need support from them, forget it.

  Pros

  I liked nothing about this product. THere are no Pros. I can't get it to work so I can make a decision?

  This software doesn't work at all after I installed it. I am advanced PC user and fix my own PCs and software issues and am successful at it 99% of time. But this piece of software, PC Backup Pro 11 is not working tried everything but no success.

  Summary

  I have purchased this PC Backup Pro 11 just last night and installed it on my laptop. It does not work. When I start the software it just freezes and gives me an error box saying ?Main GUI Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.? bla bla bla bla?.What a MAJOR disappointment immediately. I have reinstalled the software several times,with on and off firewall and antivirus (ZoneAlarm and ESET NOD32), and still doesn?t work. I refuse o believe that something is wrong with my toshiba laptop as I have never ever had any problems with any software outthere. Also I am an advanced PC user and can easily solve almost all PC problems of any kind. But this just beats me. I can?t even start the bloody software. I have submitted the ticket to DT Utilities website support but still didn?t receive a reply. I am very upset and would not recommend this software. I will wait for their reply (hopefully) and again, hopefullt they resolve the issue. BUT shouldn?t they make the software that actually works the first time and we don?t have to go through procedures to make it work? They are so quick to take your money but don?t deliver. I will be asking for refund and will ring them directly (I?m in Australia) if necessary. Will let you know what happens anyway.

  Old software being sold on "Special" NO indication of compatibility whatsoever obvious attempt to off load as many licenses as possible last minute.

  Summary

  no where on the download page does it say ANYTHING about Windows 7 compatibility!! Sure in Jan or Feb that would have been acceptable, but a full 6 months after its release, on a "special deal" offer, NOT to mention OS versions is simply incorrigible!!! My very first experience with this company, downloading and attempted use of a trial (THANK GOODNESS) was distasteful enough to make me wince.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on May 15, 2010<p/>One last comment, the THING WON'T EVEN UNINSTALL!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS STEAMING PILE OF A SOFTWARE COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR SANITY!

  I have been using Nova for years, although i feel that the functions are weak and interface is getting more complex, so I went to find new backup software, the product i found this one, installing the product I have noticed it has the same interface

  I feel i was being tricked into buying a new product that i already have for years. There should be powered by or some indication of the original product manufacturer. I found this out becuase i have been using NovaBACKUP for years, although i feel that the functions are weak and interface is getting more complex, so I went to find new backup software, the number one is Migo PC backup, installing the "new" product I have noticed it has the same interface and all! So i went to my Program files and noticed they both have the same files, only replaced with the beginning of NS with MG! Imaging is very weak, some features are hard to use, to many complexity in creating a schedule, new job or changing a new job. You cannot select smart selections with other files and folders in the same PC. Creating the boot disc does not seem like its a must in the software. thinking by if you create an image you are going to be able to recover your PC, but without the Boot disc you are doomed! Who needs virus scan, i think that dedicated companies will do a better job in cleaning up my computer so there is no need to scan files with a weak anti virus engine. Scheduling is very confusing as you have to pick, or create the job... mmm i thought this was the job, but since i am used to Nova, i have figured it out. Overwrite media, looks dangerous and i did not get what they do even after reading the description. They both look like they are going to erase my entire disc!
