(Longtime) Norton AV and Internet Security customer, now using 360...and in last 2 weeks CONTINUAL popup warnings of Norton PC Checkup having found (thus and so) warning signs, along with an offer to buy Norton's "Rescue Me" for some subscription price! Continual popups on 2 laptops and main PC running Norton 360.
Summary
And, of course, my Norton 360 is saying Security, Identity, Tuneup, etc. all fine (protected). It's as bad as the TV commercial for "My Clean PC.com." Norton/Symantic have really sunk to new lows, trying to scare customers. I just wish I could stop the continual popups.

Pros
All it's good for is taking up resources on your pc. The one thing I found that is the total opposite from the other reviewers is the results. I found the results were spot on and it didn't try to tell me any false positives just to sell me their software.
Cons
It's totally useless. Scans but didn't resolve any issues.
Summary
This software is so useless. I am with the other reviewer about how Peter Norton should be ashamed that this bears his moniker. His name used to be well respected as part of the forefront on pc health & security. Hopefully he doesn't actually belong to the company anymore.

Summary
Gives the impression to do what it says. But in the end only trying to get you to buy norton. First time i ran it everything was perfect but a few times later it reported that i have no virus protection at all. I have a good anti-virus program installed (avast). I also regularly scan with malwarebytes anti malware and my computer is squeeky clean!

It doesn't matter if software is free if the results are not accurate. It does nothing but try and sell you Norton software based on bogus results. Worse yet, I don't know how it was installed or how it was launched. The only thing I can think of is that a Quicken update did it without asking. More like a virus than a utility.

Peter Norton should be ashamed for allowing his name to be put on malware.

Doesn't do a lot and is very basic but it's free so what can you expect.

Does less than nothing. It gives false warnings about infections. It's just a marketing tool. Before running I had run MS Security Essentials, Trend Micro's Housecall and the Panda free scan and the computer came up clean.This tool said 92 infections better buy Norton A/V...

Summary
I used Norton for some years and got disappointed for numerous reason. This program supposedly identifies problems. The first day it gave me a clean bill of health. The very next day it took hours to download the virus definitions. It then identified 65 problems. Now I must buy Norton Internet Security to fix the problem. I immediately ran both Microsoft Security Essential and Avast full scans. Both gave me a clean bill of health
