I'm running memory monster on an old windows 98/se and it seems to work fine. That is, it frees up memory and after it does, applications such as Word don't seem to be effected as to speed. Of course, this is a pretty slow machine.

I'm not a fan of shareware / freeware products: some bad experiences made me very CAUTO with them, so I usually install only what I really need. But with MemMonster it was different: the features were attractive and clearly described, so I decided to install the trial. But immediately after the system became uncredibly slow: it was taking literally several minutes to complete operations as simple as displaying the content of a folder in Windows Explorer, opening an excel file or even to react to the pression of the start button in the taskbar. My system has NEVER been so slow, even in the worst overloaded situations! By the way, Office did not work correctly, reporting an error in the Office Assistant. The only good thing was that the Uninstall feature worked properly, so the nightmare ended and I could continue to work with my old good Windows XP. I recommend careful consideration of my awfull experience to anybody who, like me, feels attracted by this product !
