• No RAW recovery possible on three different drives.

  Pros

  It works in Data recovery mode with almost 100% recovery rate, therefore one star.

  Cons

  It has two modes, RAW partition recovery and Data recovery. Advertised as RAW partition recovery software, tested on three hard drives, two of which where brand new and in 100% health (damaged partition table with bad Dock, otherwise ok), no recovery was possible. They also advertise full refund or partial refund in case software is not working as advertised, this also turned out to be false. So don't expect RAW recovery and don't expect refund when RAW recovery is not working (and it never does).

  Summary

  Read the reviews before you waste your money. If you have money to waste it works fine as Data recovery software. If you are looking for RAW partition recovery, because you don't have spare hard drive, avoid it.

  Pros

  This data recovery tool actually works great. Very simple and easy to use. Just like using Windows explorer. Very fast too. Much faster than every other data recovery app I have used. Helped me recover files from an inacessable crashed drive that Windows could not read where other data recovery programs just failed flat.

  Cons

  The free version is limited to 1GB data recovery but this is much more generous than other free trial datra recovery programs.

  Summary

  I have tried many, many data recovery tools / programs that promise to receover everything in any situation but in practice fail to deliver on the simplest recovery tasks. M3 data recovery is simple, easy to use, super fast and actually works with a minimum of fuss. Sets a new benchmark in data recovery.

• Waist of Money, poor customer service

  none that I can see, there are plenty of free software that do the same thing

  Cons

  The software tricks you into thinking that you can recover your data but you cant, don't be fooled, the 30 day money back guarantee is not worth anything, you'll have to fight to get your money back

  Summary

  If you like to waste your time and money buy this software otherwise try the free tools out there there is nothing special about this software and certainly not worth £75, their customer services just tell me that they cant refund me because of the reason given below but my drive is not physically damaged but they still refuse to refund me: "Hi xxxx We have said "M3 RAW Drive Recovery product page has stated that not every RAW drive can be fixed due to different cause reasons, but lost data can be recovered as long as RAW drive is not physically damaged even if actually RAW drive cannot be fixed. However, M3 RAW Drive Recovery can recover your data, so according to our refund policy, your refund request is not approved.""

• Money well spent

  Pros

  Resolved my hard drive partition failure. The server decided to drop the partition table and leave my drives in a RAW format. The software literally 'instantly' rewrote the tables and fixed the drive to make it accessible and I was back up and running in seconds.

  Cons

  Not one that I can think of. If I had to pick one, I found no reviews on the software. This made it hard to justify paying the cost of it. I took my chances and it well paid for itself in seconds.

  Summary

  I highly recommend this software if your NTFS or other drives fail and convert to RAW. This quickly resolved the issue and allowed the drive to mount and be utilized. Almost too good to be true. I don't ever write reviews but this sure deserves one.
