Despite the lengthy search time for LAN files, Disk Search Assistant is successful in enhancing Windows search functionality. Its well-organized interface is simple enough for most users to understand. Because it integrates with Windows, folders are conveniently searched with a right-click. Aside from a standard search, the program enables you to search several directories at once, sort by relevancy, and search from previous results, even within ZIP archives. By using the text converter feature, you are able to scan not only plain text files, but also other file formats, including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and HTML and PDF files. Search results can be saved or exported as RTF or HTML reports. Quoting options can be utilized to highlight keywords in reports. This particular software may be too pricey for casual users, but those managing large numbers of files might find the enhanced search functions well worth the cost.
