- winmodem ? are you kidding ? i'm replacing this with a real modem / a data fax modem from multi tech: http://www.multitech.com/en_US/PRODUCTS/Families/MultiModemZPX/
- Summary
- i'm need a real modem because i use linux. so, i'm getting a real modem. other than that, i can't even use this one with windows because i'm getting an error message "there is no answer". then, there's no diagnostics, no indicators, no troubleshooting help, ... - you're on your own trying to fix this. i've concluded that my modem is broken, which is all the good, as i don't want a winmodem anyway, and am in the process of ordering a real modem.
