  Pros

  - Will not kill/eat your pets - May stave off nuclear war if launch codes are published in this format

  Cons

  - Byzantine licensing process, publisher error can and does result in delays and unreadable downloads. - Slow-ass verification process EVERY time you open a locked PDF. - PDF gets closed EVERY time you navigate away from the app, so you have to do the slow-ass opening thing again AND scroll back down to your last page unless you manually bookmarked it first. - I'd rather pirate or go back to dead-tree books than deal with this horrible crippleware a second longer than I have to.

  Summary

  If you are an author or publisher who is using or considering this platform, stop and reevaluate your life choices. Do you actively hate your customers? Are you overwhelmed by your current sales revenue and looking to reduce it asap? Would you prefer that your books remain unread, possibly due to the device they were loaded to being hurled through a 7th-storey window? If you answered "no" to *any* of those questions, then please reconsider subjecting those upon whom you depend for your livelihood to this useless format/platform. Seriously, just drink the Kool-Aid and publish to Kindle, or let us pay you for a DRM-free .epub version, or sell stapled-together photocopies on a street corner somewhere. Anything is better than this.

  Cons

  Slow, navigation keys don't work - so you will have to use the mouse. The iPad version is even more terrible if possible than the PC version. Zooming is bad ... Don't use the software unless you have to - like me unfortunately.

  Summary

  Avoid it at any cost. I have been a programmer for many years and it is one of the worst commercial software I have used the last 10 years when it comes to quality. It will seriously damage the reputation of DRM. My company really needs DRM, and if this is what the industry has to offer quality-wise I am sad to say that it will not be received well.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Aug 18, 2013<p/>The five star review has to have been made by someone affiliated with the product vendor...

• Does Not Work. No User Support

  None. Hasn't worked for me so far.

  Cons

  dmg file does not install on Mac OS 10.7.3 Don't know why and am unable to get support from vendor or LockLizard. Tom Ford of their sales department quoted, "LockLizard does not provide user support."

  Summary

  No good if it doesn't work. So far I have wasted my time so that LockLizard can make money from publishers trying to protect their work.

  EVERYTHING. The product simply will not work. I cannot open digital PDF's that I paid for and the company will not support their product. Terrible way to protect files.

  Don't buy any digital product that is secured with LockLizard. Odds are the file will not work, and the do not support their product. F-.

  The product is simple to use and very flexible. The implementation was very easy, and the technical support is very responsive and helpful.

  None that I can think of.

  Summary

  If you are looking for a quality product backed up by a decent company with super support then look no further.
