Used The Password Saver by Collection Agencies for Windows?
Editors’ Review
There's simply too much work involved to make this simple password organizer useful for those with numerous passwords. Plus, there's a security gap that we didn't like. The Password Saver by Collection Agencies is easy to understand, though, and most users won't bother with the short manual. Help is available through a single-page instruction manual, but it must be opened through the Windows Start menu shortcut. The Help file mentions a demo of the app, but this seems to be available only for the full version.
All functions are easily accessed from the eight buttons or through two pull-down menus. Adding a password is a mere matter of pressing the Add button and entering the username, password, and Web site. Unlike some password programs, this one doesn't grab login data when you're on a secured site, nor does it prompt you to add it to the database.
Information is displayed is a simple spreadsheet type list that can be easily sorted by column header. That includes password data, which isn't masked. There's no way to toggle the view so passwords aren't displayed. Saved data is simply encrypted and the app does require a password to open the program, but we didn't like having passwords on view for all to see.
The Password Saver by Collection Agencies offers one-click buttons to copy a selected password, user name, or Web site to the clipboard. Unfortunately, it doesn't send the data to the Web site. This basic program works, but it's missing the niceties that speed up adding or entering login information. There are programs that are just as easy to use but that offer a few more features for the user.
