Read and write byte order marks and convert files between UTF-8 and shift-jis formats.

Kaboom converts code pages of text files, from shift-jis into UTF-8 and vice versa. It supports Windows, DOS, IBM, ISO, ASCII, ISCII, Macintosh and UNICODE code pages. Kaboom can read and write byte order marks (BOM) and is very useful for everybody who has to deal with text files in foreign code pages. In addition Kaboom has over 50 clipboard filters, for replacement of special chars into character entity references.

I am running a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2 up to date. I have no problems with other programs. <p> <p>I have downloaded this product. Like reviewer RubySoft told us I faced that blue, advertising like, picture from the begining :) <p> <p>Next I have tried to select the UTF-8 unicode character encoding for the source file. Click and ... the program failed : <p>Kaboom.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. <p> <p>No more to say ...
