  Simple, easy and FREE. Nice functionalities. Just about what we need in a journal.

  No way to add pictures. But that more of a luxury than a need in a journaling software.

  Journal 4 Ever 2007 is very easy to use...You can keep track of all the things you want to write down by calendar entry or a document. With just a click you can go back to entries you made days or a month ago.

  Pros

  I keep a number of online blogs on various different websites, and this is a great program where I can keep an offline consolidation of them.<p>At the head of each post I just put the url of the blog as an annotation, and by using the handy search feature, I can find everything related to one particular blog.<p>I also love the documents feature that is unrelated to a particular date. I can keep ongoing things at my fingertips here, like grocery lists, to lists, story ideas, etc.<p>For a windows program it has a great looking and simple interface too!

  Cons

  The only thing I would like to see in a future upgrade is the ability to add hotlinks and pictures within the entries.<p>Other than that, no complaints!

  In response to BoiseSoftware's (Mike Snow) comment: <p> <p>First of all, the claim that "the distributor of this software spammed my listing" is a baseless accusation. So, I'm not sure what warranted that attack. <p> <p>Second of all, if you are worried about somebody hacking into your computer and accessing your journal entries, then yes, your journal entries can be cracked and read. If you need tight security/encryption of your journal entries and like this program, consider supporting the product by registering it. <p> <p>If you need super tight encryption for a journal program (and you don't feel it's worth it to register this one), then please check out MyJournal by Mike Snow.

  The interface is pretty straight forward and things are fairly accessible. The search feature is pretty cool, I like how it opens a table of results that is easily accessible. I checked out this product because the distributor of this software spammed my listing (My Journal) so I was curious.

  Cons

  This product is extremely insecure! If there is anything you actually want to keep private, don't use this software. Your data is stored in an .mdb file in the program directory. All I've got to say about that is: (*U34%Tl_432ed#@543e <p> <p>There isn't really many cool features in this software, mostly a bunch of text formatting options arranged in different menues.

  Pros

  Where most of the journal programs I've tried are bloated and chaotic, Journal 4 Ever provides all of the features I need. The interface is attractive and easy to learn. While it doesn't have a spell check feature of its own, I found that AutoSpell integrates with it perfectly.

  Pros

  I make daily entries concerning friends, clients, meetings, comments, notes, thoughts, things to do. Nice thing is I can go back, correct, modify, and refresh my memory of what was said or noted when. <p> <p>Quite easy and intuitive to use.
