Incognito This from Jerry and Ben is an application designed for what is termed "private browsing." This is an Internet navigation mode preferred by individuals who, for whatever reasons, do not wish others to know what sites they visit. If you want to have this functionality literally at your fingertips, then you will probably like this free Google Chrome extension.

Once downloaded and installed, the extension is immediately accessible via an icon in the Chrome toolbar. Clicking the Incognito This icon will open an Incognito window with the same Web site that you were on when you clicked the icon. While navigating in this window, no record of your browsing history will be reflected.

Incognito This is easy to understand and use since the transition is simply like opening a new browser. There are no Help files or tooltips to aid the newbie, but opening a new tab in the Incognito window will offer a link to Google Support where additional information can be found. We found no issues with the installation and uninstallation of the add-on.

Seamlessly switch open Chrome tabs to Incognito windows using the toolbar button.

Incognito This! is a service that instantly converts any open Chrome tab to a new Incognito window and vice-versa. Switching the active page to a private browsing page (or a private page back to a regular tab) is as simple as clicking the extension's toolbar button. Incognito This! also allows for users to customize the add-on via a simple options page, providing for an even better browsing experience.

Note:Using the Incognito This! extension in Chrome provides the same privacy and safety as using any regular Incognito tab. As an additional step to ensure a secure Incognito experience, the add-on is designed in a manner so that users need not allow Incognito permissions in the Extensions menu. However, if full functionality is desired, especially the ability to switch from Incognito tabs to normal tabs, the extension must be allowed to run in Incognito mode via the Chrome Extensions page.
